Buyer Protection+ is available for auctions and fixed-price listings that involve parcel delivery. The sale price must be less than CHF 5,000. It is also mandatory for both the buyer and the seller to have a valid address in Switzerland.
Specific terms and conditions for sellers:
Buyer Protection+ is currently available to sellers who meet the following criteria:
- The seller must be registered with a personal account.
- The seller must have a Swiss IBAN (no collective accounts such as Revolut) registered in their Ricardo user account.
- The name associated with the IBAN must match the name registered in your Ricardo user account.
- The seller must have activated Ricardo Plus.
Terms and conditions of the offer:
- Set the price below CHF 5000.-.
- Select parcel delivery.
Specific terms and conditions for buyers:
- The buyer’s address must be recognised as valid by the post office.
- The buyer’s address must be recognised as valid by the postal service. The buyer must select an offer that includes parcel delivery.
- The buyer must make payment using one of the payment methods offered: TWINT or debit/credit card.

Bank transfers are not available for purchases covered by Buyer Protection+.

If any of the conditions are not met, Buyer Protection+ will not apply.

If the seller does not confirm dispatch of the item and the buyer does not confirm receipt of the item, the sale will be cancelled 10 days after the buyer has made payment.
