To support fair transactions, Ricardo is introducing a refundable listing fee for vehicle listings priced at CHF 3’000 or more, starting from 12.01.2026.
This one-time fee is charged when you publish a listing for a car, motorcycle, camper or commercial vehicle. However, if the vehicle is sold via Ricardo, the full amount is refunded.
If you relist your vehicle because it did not get sold, no additional fee is charged.
This change is designed to promote fair use of the platform.
We’ve noticed that transaction cancellations are significantly more frequent in vehicle listings compared to other categories. In many cases, the deal is made, but the sale is cancelled on Ricardo to avoid paying the selling fee. The new refundable listing fee helps encourage completing the transaction on the platform, where both buyers and sellers are protected, and fees are applied fairly.
If your vehicle gets sold and the transaction is completed on Ricardo as intended, this change has no financial impact on you.
